Adam Whyte is a 20-year-old Sports Journalism student at Southampton Solent University.
Whyte is part of the media team for non-league side Eastleigh Football Club who currently play in the Vanarama National League. He also runs the media for his local football club Tankerton FC and his University’s women’s football side (Solent Ladies); controlling the Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram for both.
Whilst Whyte specialises in writing about football having been a fan all his life, he also has interests in sports such as Rugby, Golf, Tennis and Boxing. Whyte’s time as a sports journalism student has helped to broaden his interests in different sports, something that will hopefully generate greater career options in the future.
Football will always remain his main sport however mainly due to being involved in it as a fan, player, volunteer and now media man for the whole of his life. His time working for Gillingham Football Club helped Whyte to understand the professionalism behind working as part of a club media team, and also fuelled his ambition to become part of such a team in the future.
Whyte’s posts on this website will vary between match reports, opinion pieces and interviews with sporting figures. This website also contains examples of his video/TV and audio/radio media via his YouTube and SoundCloud accounts.
